 DR ASEEL ALKIAAT

Dr Aseel Alkiaat has been working as an obstetrician and gynaecologist since 2006 and completed her training at King Edward Memorial Hospital – well known for its high risk patients- thus making Dr Alkiaat very competent looking after high risk pregnancy patients. She has worked at many different hospitals around Perth including Osborne Park and Joondalup as well as several rural hospitals.

In the past few years, she has been working as the Head of Service, Maternity Unit at Bentley Health Service. She is passionate about women’s health and education and enjoys working with women and helping them during different stages of their lives in both public and private sector

She has recently undertaken the faculty position of Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Curtin Medical School.

In 2019, Dr Alkiaat received her Masters in Reproduction and Endocrinology from the University of New South Wales.

 

 

Dr Chieh Cheng

Dr Chieh Cheng grew up in Perth and completed her medical degree in 2004 at University of Western Australia. During her training in rural regions of WA, she was inspired to become a general practitioner.

She has worked as a GP obstetrician in rural and metro regions of WA for over 15 years. Women’s Health is a passion of hers and it includes contraception, preconception care, pregnancy & post natal care, and menopause. She can also insert Implanons and Mirenas (to book these procedures, you will need a pre-procedure consult.)

For low risk pregnancies, she can provide antenatal share care with specialist obstetrician – Dr Aseel Alkiaat at SJOG Murdoch. She works at Southbank O&G on Wednesday mornings: 08:00-11:30

She also works at Grove Medical Victoria Park GP clinic, on:

Tuesday 08:00 -11:30
Thursday 13:45 -16:45
Friday 08:00 – 16:00

Dr Chieh Cheng is accepting new patients with Women’s Health issues at Southbank O&G. If you are pregnant and interested in antenatal shared care, please make sure you have private health insurance that covers you for delivery at SJOG Murdoch.

SHARON CONNOLLY

Sharon has been a midwife for 35 years and has worked in all areas in midwifery. She has extensive experience in antenatal and postnatal care, and breastfeeding support. She has a special interest in Gestational Diabetes, encouraging healthy pregnancies and promoting women’s health.

We are so excited to have her on our team to provide amazing care and midwifery support to the women and families under our care.
