 DR ASEEL ALKIAAT

Dr Aseel Alkiaat has been working as an obstetrician and gynaecologist since 2006 and completed her training at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She has worked at many different hospitals around Perth including Osborne Park and Joondalup as well as several rural hospitals.

In the past few years she has been working as the Head of Service, Maternity Unit at Bentley Health Service. She is passionate about women’s health and education and enjoys working with women and helping them during different stages of their lives. Her areas of special interest include endometriosis, infertility, laparoscopy, menorrhagia, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and prolapse management. 

In 2019, Dr Alkiaat received her Masters in Reproduction and Endocrinology from the University of New South Wales.

ANDREA DAWSON

MEDICAL SECRETARY

Andrea was trained as a Registered Nurse and spent her nursing career working throughout Perth’s major hospitals. After raising her family of four, she returned to General Practice as a medical receptionist. She then advanced her career and moved into the specialist field and has been with Southbank O & G for over four years.

CATHY CHALK

REGISTERED MIDWIFE & LACTATION CONSULTANT

Cathy was born in Zimbabwe and completed her Diploma of Nursing in Harare and then moved to South Africa where she completed her Diploma of Midwifery.

In 1992 Cathy and her family immigrated to Perth. Cathy has over 30 years of midwifery experience, is a qualified Lactation Consultant and a Grief Counsellor. She has been with Southbank Obstetrics & Gynaecology for over 5 years and is very much a valued member of our team.

In addition to working with us, Cathy also works on St Mary’s Ward at St John of God Hospital Murdoch.
